Community grant received from the Lion Foundation

The HBPRC would like to thank the Lion Foundation of New Zealand who have granted the Club $8,000 over the next 12 months towards the payment of utility bills. We are able to apply to apply for funding from community grants such as the Lion Foundation due to our status as an incorporated society and registered NZ charity that provides tennis and squash facilities to our community and as a provider of junior player development programmes.

TennisAuckland project team to review the interclub rule book:

TennisAuckland have put together a working group to review the current interclub rulebook. First steps include getting some feedback from players. If you have suggestions you can let them know what you think of the current rules and provide any examples.  Specifically:

1.       What issues crop up with the senior interclub rules?

2.       Is there any wording that you find particularly challenging and feel could be improved?

3.       Any suggestions for improvements?

please email: Annette@tennisauckland.co.nz

Volunteer bar staff wanted for junior nights and Saturday, 28 October

We are in need of bar volunteers for our busy junior nights, either 4:30-6pm or 5-9pm one Friday night per month. No experience necessary and training will be provided. This is developing into a lively atmosphere, with families staying on after junior night, so the bar is a good place to get to know some of the new faces turning up.

We are also in need of a volunteer bar staffer to cover a community event in the bar on Saturday, 28 October, 5-10pm.

This is a great way to 'do your part' for the Club.  Contact Jacqui in the office on 376 0681 or email service@hernebayrackets.co.nz if you would like to know more.
