We hope you can attend the AGM tomorrow evening to farewell our outgoing Executive and support our incoming Executive for 2016. Scott will present the Annual Report for 2015 and will include the Treasurers, Squash & Tennis reports.
Junior Tennis Club Night starts at 4pm and runs to 6pm.
The Squash and Tennis courts will not be available during the AGM. However Tennis Club Night will start at the conclusion of the AGM. Squash members are more than welcome to organise their own games.
Please note: The club and courts will not be available for members use on Friday 19th February from 2pm to 11pm.
This year we are proud to be hosting the second ever National Racketball Championships so get out on the court and start training hard – bragging rights are what this tournament is all about!
The tournament runs from 25th – 27th February with finals being held on the Saturday afternoon of the 27th. A big thanks to our main sponsors Paul Gardiner (Bauer Media) and Andrew Berryman (BDM Grange & PriceWise), and there will be substantial cash prizes up for grabs for the winners.
Gather up your friends to play this fun but competitive event, entry fee is only $20 and includes one free drink at the bar. Ladies welcome too, and last year saw at least one male fall victim to a tenacious female squashie!
A few rackets are available on loan from the club if you don’t have one, and Jacqui also has some racketball balls for sale.
Lock this event into your diary, entry is via email to service@hernebayrackets.co.nz or you can also enter directly via the www.isquash.co.nz website. Check out the posters around the club, and thanks again to Matt Taylor for his efforts in promoting this event and bringing racketball to Herne Bay in the first place!
Now is the time to sharpen up your skill levels, tune up your technique, footwork, tactics, and train your fitness in preparation for the new squash season!
Please contact Mike to set up a coaching session for yourself, friends or team. Single lessons and 5-week package programmes available.

We are still looking to fill a couple of nights during the month . The commitment is only one night per month and if you pair up with someone it's only every second month!
This is a great way to 'do your part' for the Club like so many others have before you. If we don't have volunteers the bar is un-manned and this can be a problem when we have visiting teams and events on at the Club, not to mention thirsty members who need a drink!
No experience necessary and all training is provided and a few free drinks while you're there! Contact Jacqui in the office if interested.
