Last Thursday saw a great turnout. We have also had a encouraging response to our membership drive and would love to see all our new members come down and join in. David will organise a Tennis board starting at 6.30pm - fingers crossed for more great weather. Happy Hour will run from 7- 8pm (new time - trying to accomodate those on and off the courts).
Squash members are more than welcome to organise their own games.
Junior Tennis Club Night starts at 4pm and runs to 6pm.
Date: Thursday 18th February
Start Time: 6.30pm
Nominations have now closed for the Herne Bay Ponsonby Rackets Club Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday 18th February. Nominations have been received for all the Executive Officers & Facilities Manager positions.

Please note: The club will not be available for member use on Friday 19th February from 2pm to 11pm.
This year we are proud to be hosting the second ever National Racketball Championships so get out on the court and start training hard – bragging rights are what this tournament is all about!
The tournament runs from 25th – 27th February with finals being held on the Saturday afternoon of the 27th. A big thanks to our main sponsors Paul Gardiner (Bauer Media) and Andrew Berryman (BDM Grange & PriceWise), and there will be substantial cash prizes up for grabs for the winners.
Gather up your friends to play this fun but competitive event, entry fee is only $20 and includes one free drink at the bar. Ladies welcome too, and last year saw at least one male fall victim to a tenacious female squashie!
A few rackets are available on loan from the club if you don’t have one, and Jacqui also has some racketball balls for sale.
Lock this event into your diary, entry is via email to service@hernebayrackets.co.nz or you can also enter directly via the www.isquash.co.nz website. Check out the posters around the club, and thanks again to Matt Taylor for his efforts in promoting this event and bringing racketball to Herne Bay in the first place!
Starts this Saturday 13th February. Captains if you need any tennis balls - please let me know. Please return any used interclub balls - these are then used for Thursday and Sunday Club days.

We are still looking to fill a couple of nights during the month . The commitment is only one night per month and if you pair up with someone it's only every second month!
This is a great way to 'do your part' for the Club like so many others have before you. If we don't have volunteers the bar is un-manned and this can be a problem when we have visiting teams and events on at the Club, not to mention thirsty members who need a drink!
No experience necessary and all training is provided and a few free drinks while you're there! Contact Jacqui in the office if interested.
