Tennis Winter Interclub:

Winter interclub kicked off on Sunday with Herne Bay 1 recording an 8-0 win at Parnell, which puts them top of the leaderboard. It wasn't without effort, though - Jake, Miyuki and Rachel all found themselves in some epic 2 hour long matches, but fought through for the win.

Meanwhile at home, Herne Bay 2 (Dave, Steve, Pete, Jack, Liz, Caroline, Peta and Nicky) had a close one against Pompallier.

At the end, matches were drawn 4 all and sets 9 all, so it came down to game count, with Pompallier just edging through.  Great weather and competitive matches made for a good day, though.

Thanks to all the players who turned out on Mother's Day. It's a Battle of the Bays for the next round on 24 May, with HB1 facing Mission Bay at home and HB2 away at Mission Bay.

Best of luck to both teams.
