Hold onto your rackets, members, we’re about to launch into 4 crazy weeks of Club Night action! That’s right, for the next four weeks we really want to make Club Night special and ramp it up as we mean to go on for the rest of the year. We will have a $50 Chapel Bar and Bistro voucher to give away, we’ll be putting on a BBQ and we’ll be running our HAPPY HOUR between 6:30 and 7:30.
To kick things off in good spirit, we’ll be giving all new members who joined up in our January Sign-up Special their FIRST DRINK FREE!!
While squash season hasn’t quite started yet, later this month we’ll be launching into squash Club Night properly too, but don’t let that stop you coming down for a hit!
So come on down, say hi to the newbies, enjoy a hit with your mates and a refreshing beverage and a nourishing barbie after. Former Club Manager Leanne Roberts will be running the bar so come down and say hi.
Speaking of our Sign Up Special, I’m very pleased to announce that Gower Buchanan is the winner of our $500 Nike Britomart voucher! Gower brought his mates down and signed them up, and then they brought their mates down and so on, until there were 6… So well done you and what a deserved winner. To all of you who referred your mates, your free drink vouchers will be ready and waiting for you at the bar from today (Tuesday), just ask the bartender for your envelope. Oh and if you see the Club Coaches maybe offer a drink to them, as they’re flat out providing 44 free lessons to our 22 new members! Phew. Thanks to everyone involved for a successful month!

Calling all Masters players, winter interclub entries are now open. A great mix of competitive and social interclub squash, help carry on the strong tradition of pennant-winning Herne Bay Masters teams! All players must be over 40 or turning 40 during the current calendar year.
Play runs March 19th through to late June/July on Wednesday nights. Format is the same as previous years with mixed divisions, 6-8 teams per division, 2 round robins of 7 matches and NRL style finals at the business end.

Team Tiebreaker Tennis, Monday nights for 5 weeks,starting Feb 16th @ 7pm, teams of 2 men and 2 women in round robin tie-break sets, 3 games guaranteed.
Junior Tennis Club Night starts 14 Feb and there are two sessions depending on age / skill. Friday nights from 3:30-6.
Squash Junior Coaching Programme, starts Tuesday 18th or Thursday 20th of Feb for 6 weeks, at 2 times: 3:15-4pm for 6-9 year olds and 4-4:45 for over 10s and Interclub players.
DnA tournaments: Senior members 16th Feb @ 4pm, Ladies 12th Feb @ 10am.
Donations of Squash Gear to Papua New Guinea, donations received at the Club Office up until end of Feb.
Squash Fit starting next Tuesday 11th Feb at 6pm running for 6 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Twelve sessions are $100 up front or $10 a session casually. The first session is testing so make sure you’re there!
Squash Autumn Interclub – entries closed YESTERDAY but quick quick we can squeeze you into a team!
Squash Doubles Tournament Friday 21st Feb to Saturday 22nd Feb – entries close Friday 14th.
