Presidents Update
OPEN INTERCLUB CHAMPIONS
Fantastic result last night right on the back of our C grade ladies success at Super Champs last weekend.
Our Open team won the Auckland competition defeating Remmers in the final 2-1.
The team during the season has been Matt Taylor / Campbell Grayson / Jared Conning / Chris Lloyd and George Crosby.
With Campbell away in Malaysia it was going to be a tough night but the guys rose to the occasion and it was a good confidence builder for the guys who travel away to Napier this weekend to contest the Cousins Shield.
Matt was up first playing Phil Buske, whom is playing awesome squash at the moment, and Phil got past Matt in a hard fought 3/1 victory.
Next up was George, playing Alex Grayson. George is fantastic to watch with a repertoire of shots which make squash a great game to view! A 3/1 victory to the good guys at Herne Bay.
Finally, Chris Lloyd stepped up to the plate to play Graeme Wilson. Chris has played Graeme on 4-5 previous occasions, without success, and without taking a game I believe. Chris was struggling to assert any control and found himself 2-0 down, and questioning some ref calls, but much to the home crowds delight he settled down, concentrated on his own game, and got home the victor 3/2.
Open Interclub is best of 3 matches so that added up to a title success for our Team!

UP Real Estate Casino night
Ticket sales are going well - but I want to sell out prior to the event!

It is a fantastic fund raising push for your Club - your Club needs your support.
Don't wait until the night as it is highly likely there will not be door sales.
