C GRADE "SUPER CHAMPS"

Awesome results to see the C grade ladies qualify for the nationals, early September in Palmerston North.

Congratulations to Jacque White / Christine Thomson / Sara Locke / Rebecca Ellmers / Aroha Willis / Gillian Schweizer and Jessica Spence. Also ably managed by Emma Brown and head coach Sue Jackson!

They beat off all comers last week and are the first team from Herne Bay since 2008 to represent our Club at national Super Champs, as the top Auckland qualifier for their grade.

In 2008, of course our C grade ladies were National champs, and I am sure they will be putting in the hard yards over the next month or so to try and emulate that fantastic achievement.

Meritorious efforts from all our teams last week.

E grade men and C grade men were all quite close….but no cigar.

Oh well fellas….there is always next year!
