On Monday 17th August, Herne Bay Rackets will host the world's second best woman player,
Natalie Grainger (USA). Natalie is top seed for the NZ Open Event at Mt Maunganui next month, and this will be her only appearance in Auckland. Natalie held the World No.1 ranking in 2003,
has won 22 events worldwide and ended Nicol David's 56 match unbeaten run with victory in the 09 KL Open. Natalie will play our own NZ No.1 and World No.10 Shelley Kitchen in the evenings headline match.
Like last years exhibition we'll also have a top quality curtain raiser with NZ No.1 and World No.40, Kashif Shuja playing former World No.3 and 2005 British Open Champion, Anthony Ricketts.
Kashif is always a class act and anyone who saw Anthony at last year's exhibition will tell you he is still a formidable player.
This is fantastic opportunity to see some of the worlds very best in our own club.
Tickets are only $20 and are available at the bar or from the club office.
Next week they will be advertised to the wider Auckland squash community and
they will be sold on a first-in first-served basis.
