Xmas New Year notices

Office Hours

The office will be closed from 1pm on Thursday 20 December until 11am on Tuesday 15 January 2019.

Bar

The bar is EFTPOS only from Thursday 20 December until Monday 14 January 2019 so that there will be no cash in the till whilst admin is away. Therefore, for the security and benefit of the Club, please bring an eftpos card.

We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday break and we look forward to seeing you back - hopefully rested and refreshed - in 2019.

Air NZ loves us

The Air New Zealand team Christmas party at the club last Thursday was a great success says organiser Rachael Nicholson. Rachael says everyone had a good time and some said it was "the best Xmas party ever". Air New Zealand paid for venue hireage and has kindly decided to donate the refundable $250 bond to the club. Rachael says a couple of the Air New Zealand team are now considering joining the club as members.

Bayleys tournament

Bayleys will be running their own tournament from 3pm-7pm tonight, Thursday 20 December.

Members are asked to please observe and respect any exclusivity around these private functions.

Facility Hireage

The club is a great facility for events such as birthdays and work functions which not only help fund the club from facility hireage but introduce possible new members to the club. To enquire about functions please contact Pia in the club office on 376 0681 or service@hernebayrackets.co.nz

Club Management Roles

The committee has created two clearly defined roles - a Club Administrator (to administer the database, accounts, bar etc) and a Club Manager Business Development and Programmes (responsible for growing participation, managing programmes and club professionals and managing new initiatives). While these part-time roles are separate it is possible they may both be filled by one person initially. We want the roles to grow and the separation acknowledges the different skill sets of an administrator vs. business development.
